PUMA Usain Bolt Collection – FreshnessMag.com

Source: FreshnessMag.com

When you’re working with the fastest man alive, you’re not going to be shy about asking for his direct input in designing a range of running shoes and apparel. That was the thinking behind PUMA‘s Usain Bolt collection, a lineup featuring three different shoe models as well as lightweight jackets and tees. The footwear range consists of the Hawthorn Trinomic, Faas 400 and RS1, all three featuring lightweight materials and cushioned footbeds, and all appropriate for the street as well as the gym. The grey, black and neon yellow color palette of the shoes are mirrored in the apparel, which includes a hooded nylon windbreaker, track jacket and tee. Berlin’s Overkill has the collection now.

Puma Suede Classic Eco – EUKicks.com

Source: EUKicks.com

With the release of these two colorways of the Suede, Puma is making the effort to make these as true as possible to the 1978 edition of the sneaker with specific attention paid to the shape, stripe and liner print. Both colorways are said to be classic and feature gum soles in a choice of black/dark shadow or blithe blue/blueprint.

Also, the kicks feature an “Eco” build with a purpose to reduce their environmental impact.

Find them now through Puma dealers that include UK based Urban Industry.

Puma States “Shadow Society” | Fall 2011: Round 2 – EuKicks.com

Source: EuKicks.com

Last month Puma dug into their archive to reintroduce the States along with a group of Puma enthusiasts dubbed the “Shadow Society”. Now Puma and the Shadow Society are preparing to release a second installment of the silhouette.

Suede is still the material of choice with a leather lining while the color options are black/green or pink/off-white. Also the “secret society” imagery is intact with the Pyramid Eye on the inner tongue and lace pouch.

Word has these releasing before the last day of the month. We will follow up when the kicks actually drop.

Puma Clyde 2011 – KicksOnFire.com

Made popular back in the 70s by Walt Clyde Frazier, the Puma Clyde is one of the few silhouettes that remains relevant in todays archive laden sneaker market. As a basketball player, I appreciate its roots on the courts of the young NBA. As a lover of style, it is hard not to understand the elegance and class brought to the sneaker by its main endorser, Walt Frazier. It is actually because of Clyde that the model fits the way it does. Back in 1973 he requested the model become wide enough to play ball in and that it was updated in more colors. Puma liked these ideas and the “Clyde” was born. With all these things running through my mind, I gave the casual icon a run for its money to see what all the hype was about.
