Supra Wrap

It’s been an argument that’s gone on for so long, and will probably never get a concrete answer any time shortly: which classic shoe is better, hi-tops or lo-tops?

While siding in this dispute is far from easy, the new Supra Wrap embodies the true personality of the iconic lo-top sneaker while giving it a modern edge. The two-piece canvas construction gives emphasis to texture and the vulcanized outsole ensures durability. These shoes look stunningly clean and don’t even bother with over-the-top design, which is always a good thing.

Supra is offering the Wrap in a variety of colors so finding one that suits your mood is a cinch. Don’t be surprised if you are picking up a pair in every color once the summer hits.

QUBIC STORE X ALL BLACKS X ADIDAS CAMPUS 80S “ALL HEROES” – NiceKicks.com

Source: NiceKicks.com

How do you honor one of the most dominant sports franchises in any sport, on any continent, in the history of competition? A shoe is a good start. Qubic Store linked up with New Zealand’s All Blacks rugby team to create an officially licensed adidas Originals Campus 80s. Limited to 100 pairs, this collaboration features a black suede upper with white leather stripes, emulating the understated aesthetic of the All Blacks’ uniform. The team logo can be seen sewn onto the later heel side of the upper. As apart of the “all heroes” campaign, New Zealand artist Elliot F. Stewart put an artistic spin on players Jonah Lomu, Daniel Carter, Sonny Bill Williams, and Liam Messam. The first 15 pairs of this shoe will release at Qubic Store this Friday at 10 AM (GMT+12) with special edition metal cases, with the standard boxes accompanying the following 85. Two hours later, the remaining pairs will land at Qubic online. All 100 pairs will come with matching Merino socks.

Puma Clyde 2011 – KicksOnFire.com

Source: KicksOnFire.com

Made popular back in the 70s by Walt Clyde Frazier, the Puma Clyde is one of the few silhouettes that remains relevant in todays archive laden sneaker market. As a basketball player, I appreciate its roots on the courts of the young NBA. As a lover of style, it is hard not to understand the elegance and class brought to the sneaker by its main endorser, Walt Frazier. It is actually because of Clyde that the model fits the way it does. Back in 1973 he requested the model become wide enough to play ball in and that it was updated in more colors. Puma liked these ideas and the “Clyde” was born. With all these things running through my mind, I gave the casual icon a run for its money to see what all the hype was about.

Adidas Originals L.A. Trainer – TheShoeBuff.com

Source: TheShoeBuff.com

Coming out of Adidas Originals for 2011, are these updates on the L.A. Trainer called, the Spray-Fairway. Still maintaining a retro silhouette, the 1984 L.A. Olympics inspired kick has some slight alterations. Possibly only a colour change in the nylon and suede runners, Adidas was sure to keep the still innovative, peg system in the midsole heel. Wearers can adjust and remove the pegs, in order to customize the compression, depending on their activity.

If this is only a palette update, we’re fine with that. These after all, are some damn nice sneakers. Available where Originals are sold.
